The Center for Career Education is in the first place built for several missions. The Center for Career Education is now composed of different departments that make the institution complete. There are actually six departments maintained by the Center for Career Education and these include the undergraduate career development, graduate student career development, experiential education, employer and alumni relations, alumni career development, and planning and administration. Today, the Center for Career Education serves thousands of students from different schools and the institution’s affiliates. Included in the list of schools served by the Center for Career Education are the Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, The School of General Studies, The School of Continuing Education (Degree Programs and Post-Baccalaureate Program), The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, The School of the Arts, and The Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Aside from these schools, the Center for Career Education also collaborates with the career centers of other institutions at the Columbia University, and even to its affiliated foundations.
The Center for Career Education is now located at the Lower Level 116th and Amsterdam of East Campus Building.
